From a locked WIX site to visibility a performance-first WordPress platform – and a 20x jump in organic
How we moved SCCG Management – a US-based gaming industry consultancy – from a constrained WIX setup to a modern WordPress platform with built-in lead generation for industry reports, and a native search and filtering layer powered by the WordPress Interactivity API.

SCCG Management is a leading consulting firm serving the global gaming industry, working with operators, suppliers, regulators and investors across multiple jurisdictions.
The firm’s website is both a marketing platform and a content engine – distributing industry reports, e-books, and editorial content that drive business inquiries from clients around the world.
Website type: Corporate / Consulting platform with lead generation for industry research

KEY PROBLEMS BEFORE COLLABORATION
Challenges
A WIX site that had outgrown the business. The closed nature of the previous platform limited what the team could do – every customisation hit a wall, and the architecture couldn’t keep up with a consulting firm’s marketing strategy, serving clients across multiple regions.
Limited content management flexibility led to awkward content architecture, impairing user experience and conversions.
Lead generation tied to gated reports was missing. Industry reports and e-books are central to how a consulting firm builds its pipeline – but the previous platform couldn’t deliver a clean “give us your email, get the report” mechanism.
No room to evolve the search and content experience. Without access to the underlying code, the team had no path to add modern interactivity – filtering by topic, reactive search, smart content discovery – that B2B consulting audiences expect today.
What we had to solve
- Move the entire site off WIX into an open, fully customisable platform – without losing brand identity or existing content. Native Gutenberg full-site editing implementation gave the marketing team the expected freedom to shape different content types across the portal.
- Build a lead generation mechanism around gated content – reports. Turning each industry publication into a measurable demand-capture asset.
- Rebuild the search and content discovery experience using modern, reactive technology – without external dependencies, the client would have to subscribe to long-term.
- Make sure the launch was a clean cutover – no SEO regression, no broken inbound links.
“WIX was holding us back. Every time we wanted to do something meaningful with our content or lead generation, we hit a wall. We needed a platform we could actually own.“

OUR SOLUTION
Our solution for LernerPython
WLC.team delivered a full WordPress platform built on our internal Full Site Editing starter theme – designed from the ground up around a content-driven consulting business. The build replaced WIX entirely, and used the WordPress Interactivity API to deliver a modern search and filtering experience natively.
SOLUTION 01
Full migration from WIX to a modern WordPress platform
SOLUTION 02
Block-based design architecture (Full Site Editing) – the team can publish and edit autonomously
SOLUTION 03
Lead generation mechanism built around gated industry reports
SOLUTION 04
Native search and filtering using WordPress Interactivity API
What we implemented
1. Full content architecture for a consulting firm
- Purpose-built pages for what a gaming consultancy needs to show to the world: Partners, Careers, About / Our Team. Each section was designed for the audience it serves – prospective clients, partners, and candidates. The design has been prepared with component reusability in mind and implemented using native Gutenberg blocks and patterns. These components were structured into a searchable library of graphical elements available to the team administering the site.
2. A complete platform migration from WIX
- The entire site was rebuilt on WordPress with our Full Site Editing starter as the foundation – meaning the client moved from a closed, subscription-locked environment to an open platform where every aspect of the site is theirs to evolve. Content, brand identity, and existing inbound links were preserved through the transition.
3. Lead generation built around gated reports
- For a consulting firm, industry publications aren’t just content – they’re top-of-funnel assets. We built a clean mechanism for reports and e-books: the value is shown clearly (with the original price visibly struck through to a free or reduced figure), and access is exchanged for an email address. Every report becomes a measurable demand-capture asset.
4. Native search and filtering – without external dependencies
- Instead of layering an external search service onto the site (and locking the client into a recurring subscription), we built the search and filtering experience using the WordPress Interactivity API – native, modern, reactive, and fully owned by the client. Content discovery feels instant; nothing is hidden behind a third-party paywall.
5. Partner catalogue with advanced search
- The platform includes a partner catalogue built as a master data component. This approach allows easy administration of structured partner records and enables advanced search, with category and region filtering options.

Why it worked
- Open platform over closed convenience – moving from WIX to WordPress was a one-time effort that paid back immediately in flexibility and ownership
- Full site editing built around Gutenberg visual editor – was key to unlock the marketing team to freely publish new rich content types aligned with the brand identity
- Modern features without recurring vendor lock-in – native WordPress Interactivity API instead of a third-party search service
- Content monetisation thinking in the architecture – reports and e-books treated as lead gen assets, not just marketing collateral

“The move to WordPress gave our team back control – over content, over design, over how we capture leads. The organic growth that followed was the proof that it was the right call.”
